We are seeking a professional like you to join the Care Chemicals Supply Chain team to optimize, implement and ensure the integrity of the production planning process, training and onboarding, process documentation, and master data used for production planning for Care Chemicals. In this role, you will serve as Project Lead for planning excellence, rough cut planner, regional and global supply chain initiatives, as well as best practices for the development of the production planning process. The role will provide a lever for resource overload situations and provide back-fill where needed.

As a Master Planning Specialist, Care Chemicals, BASF - Remote, you create chemistry by...

  • Leveraging your Supply Chain experience and your demonstrated ability to make value-added contributions in cross-functional project teams as well as work effectively in a team environment, you will act as Project Lead for Planning Excellence and implementation of Supply Chain Initiatives and notably, be a key user in design and implementation of OMP SOP/OPR and S4/HANA for production planning.
  • Executing your knowledge of OMP SOP and implementing your strategic mindset, you will further add value acting as rough-cut planner for three key Care Chemical assets.
  • Demonstrating your excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, you will be responsible for the Global S&OP and Volume Commitment Management process management.
  • Combining your ability to self-motivate and exceptional interpersonal skills you will act as a change agent to help promote and lead change management initiatives.
  • Utilizing your proven experience in driving innovation, continuous improvement and your strong analytical thinking, you will be a Production Planning Process Expert, including creating and updating material planning documents.
  • Using your experience in Operations, Supply Chain processes, and ERP, you will serve as a production planning back up where needed.
  • Applying your SAP expertise in R3 and APO, your robust computer skills and effective user of Microsoft Office products, you will be responsible for data Integrity.

If you have...

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required and a Masters or advanced degree is preferred in business, engineering, supply chain, chemistry, or related field, preferably within manufacturing or material-based companies, preferably in the chemicals market
  • Preferably 5-8 years of supply chain experience in operations, supply chain, business management, manufacturing, or related function coupled with high proficiency / in depth knowledge of Supply Chain management methodologies
  • SAP Expertise in R3 and APO (SNP and PPDS), working experience with OMP, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Access and in Business Intelligence reporting tools (i.e. SCI); an understanding of production scheduling theory and techniques is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing medium to large sized projects and the ability to make value-added contributions in cross-functional project teams.

Pay transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $103,000 - $129,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
