Job title: Senior Sales Specialist – Tokyo
Position purpose
Collaborate with the Country Managers (APV & CP) to align the actions to ensure the success of the Country Business Plan implementation.
Design and execute GTM in the country in alignment with regional strategy.
Develop strategies for successful introduction of new hybrids / varieties and execute these strategies for the crops agreed in the region to realize long term profitability in partnership with customers.
Identifying new partners/dealers and managing the distribution channel. Develop market position and increase market share of Nunhems as well as build up a long-term relationship with customers.
Sales planning (Crop) and execution in the country.
Major Accountabilities
- Plan, review, adapt and execute sales plan and market development plan for each crop in country in line with M&S policy, strategy and country business plan and incorporates all marketing mix elements: (price: price proposals for all products, forms; product: proposals for the assortment; promotion: plans, budgets, actions; place: market/product combination) in order to ensure to the profitability for the assigned crop.
- Cooperate with Regional Crop Leader to design and implement successful introduction strategies for varieties, products or services in the country incl. portfolio management & development, product positioning and pricing.
- Responsible for Sales Forecasting (short-team and long-term) for each crop in country by strong collaboration with all work relations.
- Complaint Management: Execute claim handling in line with the Global M&S policy in order to handle claims in an effective and efficient way and make sure that eventual corrective actions are taken.
- Designing commercial schemes and policies (rebate & discount) - Formulation, Approvals & Roll out.
- Allocation & monitoring of Promotional Budgets.
- Control over Returns/DSO.
- Ensure appropriate channel presence as per product portfolio. Develop new relationships in identified target markets with potential dealers and introduce Nunhems products to them in line to agreed business objectives; Develop and execute customer (dealers) management, maintain good relationship and improve their loyalty. Build/expand and oversee the network of Retailers to increase our channel depth (penetration) and share of wallet with retailers.
- Formulates and negotiates with customers about annual and/or more annual contracts, within a limited margin on price and sales terms in order to realize the sales targets and partnership.
Cash Management:
- Take care of the AR (account receivables) in line with the Finance & Accounting policy and the associated payment terms in order to ensure smooth order flow and credit management.
- Ensure that all the financial metrics are well monitored/ reviewed periodically.
Logistical:
- Advice to the production plan in line with the M&S strategy (medium term vision) in order to guarantee an optimal production plan and stock level (no or less depreciation on stock)

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor / master’s in agriculture or related
Work experience:
- 5-10 years’ experience in sales
