Objectives of the Position:

  • Act as Local HR partner for BU EM, EV and EC
  • Plan, organize and oversee all HR related activities to support manufacturing activities and strategy
  • Oversee all Industrial Relations activities for BASF Indonesia
  • To align with Learning Development Services Hub team and ensure the implementation of L&D program in local organization

Main Areas of Responsibilities:

1. HR Business Partner

  • Serve as primary contact for regional HRBP.
  • Provide HR services (hire to retire) for the relevant BU’s including TA activities, talent management, performance management, organization development, exit interview, etc.


2. Site HR Management

  • Provide advice to Site Manager and monitor execution of HR related areas such as recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, development and industrial relations.
  • Manage and monitor outsourcing activities in all BU/FU/Sites as well as review 3rd party leased/Outsource company performance in BASF Indonesia.
  • Support any relevant project and site initiatives and ensuring results and cost efficiency.


3. Industrial Relations

  • Maintain employee relationship that are covered specifically under collective labor agreement and labor law.
  • Maintain good relationship with related government offices including keep up with new regulations.
  • Recommend changes in company policy to maintain conducive working environment.
  • Responsible for conducting negotiation and consultation with employee representatives (Union).
  • Facilitate employee grievances and industrial relations dispute.


4. Learning & Development

  • Develop Country Training Catalogue together with Learning Development Services Hub based on training needidentification.
  • Promote local, regional and e-learning to employee on regular basis.
  • Evaluate the Local Learning and Development activities and the effectiveness.
  • Provide support to Site Head/ Local Business Unit Head with coordination with Regional HRBP on talent identification and succession planning for key positions in respective BU’s.
  • Responsible to manage the GROW/Apprentices and internship program.
  • Support BU / Function / Site on identifying specific training needs.

5. Others

  • Ensure relevant Local HR policy and guideline is updated and improved on regular basis and align with the global/regional guideline.
  • Person in charge for HR Audits both internal and external audit.
  • Person in charge for Employee Surveys and follow-up.
  • Work together with communication team to publish People News in monthly basis.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree with relevant major
  • Min 5 years in managerial position, working experience in manufacturing environment is an advantage
  • Strong HR knowledge and capability.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
