About The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Business Service Asia Pacific, you will:
- Manage projects delivery of roll-out services to BASF group companies and ensure services are in accordance with established processes and work procedures and in compliance with BASF policies and local company legal and statutory requirements.
- Provide guidance and work with delivery teams to determine and manage scope of work, timeline and budget of project delivery.
- Resolve issues via interaction with key stakeholders and development of solutions.
How You Will Do It
Project Delivery
- Manage assigned projects by monitoring project and staff performance, implementing corrective actions as needed, and ensuring smooth project delivery in collaboration with other service streams and the local country platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert by providing hands-on support, resolving project queries proactively, informing stakeholders of critical issues in a timely manner, and assisting team members in addressing project challenges through effective communication with project sponsors and other team members.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze regional and country-specific requirements for project delivery by reviewing existing processes, infrastructure, team setup, and project reporting methods to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and enhance the knowledge database of implemented projects by frequently analyzing recurring issues and seeking sustainable solutions to promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify cross-functional improvement opportunities and engage in continuous consultation with service delivery teams and relevant regional functions to ensure successful project implementation across the region
Team Management
- Build a high-performing operational team by fostering an environment that encourages idea generation, leverages learning from experience, and provides strong guidance as a compelling leader, while ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and knowledge is effectively transferred
- Conduct regular individual performance reviews to provide constructive feedback and coaching, facilitate open communication, and proactively manage the team's motivation and morale to maintain high-quality work
Compliance and Quality Management
- Ensure that team members are aware of and comply with relevant policies, processes, and procedures
Reporting
- Maintain a monthly report in collaboration with relevant teams to accurately reflect project performance
- Oversee the maintenance of the demand plan, which enables teams to predict resource requirements for incoming projects, enhancements, and support activities
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of project management experience with 2 years of supervisory/project lead exposure
- Track record in leading and managing a complex work group of about 10 – 60 people; managing operations of a Shared Service Center and/or Global Business Services is of advantage
- Profound knowledge of SAP S4 HANA and its processes as well as experience in implementation is of advantage
- Project Management Professional (PMP), SCRUM Master or other similar professional qualification related to Project Management is of advantage
- Some knowledge in ERP systems implementation methodology and supply chain process are of advantage
- Well versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good in written and spoken English, knowledge of any other Asian language is of advantage
- Occasional traveling is required
