Objectives of the Position:
- Responsible for ensuring transport management for inbound or outbound (as assigned) are as per stipulated guidelines, procedures and requirements
- Support process improvement, knowledge and risk management as per overseas delivery services
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:
Outbound
· Processing of transports for packaged deliveries with a focus on sea freight to our customers in compliance with the required customer deadlines at cost-optimal conditions
· Control and monitoring of loading times as well as loading at the associated companies and external locations
· Legal, internal, safety-relevant and packaging-related regulations must be taken into account and customer-specific service levels and other quality requirements must be met
· Monitoring and assessment of the quality of our service providers, transport reliability and feedback rates
· Preparation of all necessary transport documents, control of the proper filing of documents, in particular freight accounting bases, and examination of additional costs incurred
Inbound
· Processing of transports for packaged deliveries with a focus on sea freight to our sites within EMEA
· Control and monitoring of loading times as well as loading at the associated companies and external locations
· Legal, internal, safety-relevant and packaging-related regulations must be taken into account and site-specific service levels and other quality requirements must be met
· Monitoring and assessment of the quality of our service providers, transport reliability and feedback rates, and Tracking shipments & vessels
· Preparation and monitoring of all necessary transport documents (e.g verifying draft documents), control of the proper filing of documents, in particular freight accounting bases, and examination of additional costs incurred
Job Requirements:
Education:
Diploma / Degree of any discipline
Working Experience:
· 3-5 years in logistics or fresh graduates with some intern experience in transport management
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
· Experience in supply chain operations, distribution and warehousing processes
· Knowledge of the processes of filling and shipping units
· Experience in handling of MS Office products and, ideally, SAP R/3 quality management and transport management
· Structured, independent and process-oriented working width
· High degree of customer orientation
· High proficiency in spoken and written English
