Objectives:
• Drive and lead implementation of BASF TDS (Transportation and Distribution Safety) & Security related Directives and Requirements in ECP/A.
• Cultivate and provide TDS & Security expertise to raise site employee knowledge and awareness in ECP/A.
Main Tasks:
1. TDS (Transportation and Distribution Safety) specialist
• Lead the implementation of corporate TDS standards across regional operations (sites and logistics partners).
• Conduct the TDS review to ensure continuous improvement in the TDS performance.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits of transportation routes, carriers, and distribution centers.
• Coordinate TDS training programs for internal teams.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis related to transport and distribution events.
• Support the development and localization of TDS tools, templates, and audit protocols.
• Collaborate with Product Safety teams on Dangerous Goods classification and packaging transitions.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisors.
2. Security specialist
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential security hazards in EHS operations.
• Support the site security management, such as development and implementation of a site security plan/concept.
• Conduct the security review to ensure continuous improvement in the security performance.
• Collaborate with EHS teams to implement preventive measures and emergency response plans on security.
• Monitor compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and awareness programs on EHS security and share best practices.
• Investigate and report on security incidents affecting EHS areas.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Education: Bachelor or Master majored in chemical industry, logistics, or related field.
• Working Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation safety, logistics, or EHS roles, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- Knowledge in chemistry industry
- Experience with audit and assessment
- Excellent communication and training facilitation abilities
- Fluent oral and written English
