We are seeking a professional like you to support and prioritize activities in the Production and Logistics departments. A primary focus is on designing, implementing, and sustaining a Continuous Improvement process and culture at the Clemson site. Areas of focus for this role will include: Digitalization, Lean and Six Sigma, OpEx Measures, Sustainability, and Culture. You will lead without formal authority, working with stakeholders from the shop floor to the Site Leadership Team. You will also align your activities with the strategic objectives of the Site.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your history of identifying and implementing improvements to technology, processes, equipment, or organizations. You will also get to share your ability and motivation to rapidly learn new topics, as well as your familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean concepts. Prioritizing efforts in the Production and Logistics are will also be a strong focus area.
As a Production Specialist, you create chemistry by...
- Leveraging your innovation and collaboration skills, you will identify continuous improvement opportunities and support implementation; assist in development of OpEx capital project ideas, scoping and reviews; and lead a Continuous Improvement team to develop and steer cross-functional improvement opportunities.
- Leveraging your manufacturing or business experience, you will create, implement, and sustain Lean management systems on the shop floor, including (but not limited to): 5S, visual management, standard work, waste elimination, and continuous improvement. You will assist with the site waste walk program.
- Demonstrating your strong focus on safety you will support the site behavioral based safety process, assist in incident investigations, address corrective actions and serve as a Safe Work Permit writer.
- Providing your strong organizational skills, you will coordinate maintenance activities with production and provide prioritization to maintenance for production repairs and installations. You will assist with prioritizing activities for the Cylinder Building operators.
- Utilizing your attention to detail you will research to find and order parts for operations.
- Coordinating Asset Effectiveness data collection and analysis and run reports in SAP
If you...
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Have a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Have strong innovation and collaboration skills, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Are familiar with Six Sigma and Lean concepts and have a strong focus on safety.
- Are able to lead without formal authority and the ability to rapidly learn new topics.
- Have experience in identifying and implementing improvements to technology, processes, equipment, or organizations.
- Are experienced with SAP and managing continuous improvement projects this would be a plus.
