The Global Procurement division is responsible for BASF's purchasing activities worldwide. We negotiate contracts that provide BASF with tangible added value. Our focus is on the procurement of raw materials, technical goods and services as well as logistics solutions. Our comprehensive market know-how and deep understanding of value-adding chains make us a valuable partner for the operating divisions.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As a working student in the Renewable Carbon Team, you contribute to our mission:" We develop & secure supply of renewable feedstocks to enable affordable Product Carbon Footprint reduction of BASF products."

  • As part of your role, you conduct comprehensive market research by collecting and analyzing data on global biofuels, renewable feedstocks and biomass markets. This research enables you to identify key trends and generate valuable insights that support business case evaluations and strategic decision-making.
  • Furthermore, you collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information and share findings, thereby enhancing the understanding of market dynamics and fostering strong industry relationships.
  • Finally, you prepare and communicate insightful reports (e.g., via Power BI) that encompass market trends, supply-demand analyses and competitive landscapes, effectively translating complex data into actionable outcomes for business development.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • ongoing studies in international business, business informatics, environmental engineering or science
  • experience in data analytics, data visualization (e.g., Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Power Apps)
  • knowledge of AI tools and advanced prompting skills
  • proficient in standard IT applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus
  • Members from states outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland are requested to send their residence/work permit, including the relevant supplementary sheet as well as the completed questionnaire
