In this position you will manage the Customer Site Service Organization which supports the daily operation of BASF products at our Customer Automotive Assembly Plants. The role responds to customer requirements, enforces product quality/performance specifications, and supports new product/application development. The Technical Service Manager (TSM) will manage and support the on-site customer site service teams to ensure BASF Coatings are meeting customer expectations, support problem solving and troubleshooting as necessary, escalate customer quality issues internally as needed for support, and drive efficiencies within the customer site service organization. S/he will develop and support customer relationships.
What you'll do:
- Assurig product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supporting business objectives to be our customer’s supplier of choice.
- Enhance BASF’s reputation with the customer. Integrating within the business and technical community to bring additional value to ECO coatings customers.
- Enforcing product quality/performance specifications, and supporting new product/application development.
- Managing KPIs (i.e. Technical Service Cost/Net Sales) and digital solutions to drive efficiency improvement.
- Managing existing internal BASF and external Customer relationships and developing new ones.
- Continuously increasing market intelligence and updating customer and competitor data. Lead strategy planning and execution and driving alignment connecting sales functions to marketing, technical, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.
- Influencing positive outcomes, mentoring and driving team success, you will serve as the key contact for GM/Ford accounts in NA.
- Providing accurate sales forecasts, supporting efficient planning of products and services.
- Defining and implementing an account plan to achieve sales and profitability growth in line with BU strategies.
If you...
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, business.
- Possess at least 8 years background in experience in coatings paint technology, applications and manufacturing or other automotive OEM industry.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, Especially leading a diverse team. Identifying development opportunities and executing development plans.
- Possess superior communication abilities and are able to influence all levels of the internal BASF and external Customer organizations.
- Have a strong entrepreneurial drive and business acumen to efficiently improve opportunities and develop and execute plans in a cost-effective and timely manner.
