We are looking for Senior Technology Manager to join our Refining Catalysts Team remotely in the US.

As the Senior Technology Manager for our Refining Catalyst business unit (EV/R) you will be responsible for providing site support as the single point of contact for sites to seek assistance. They will either directly resolve issues or coordinate with the appropriate resources within BASF to provide support.
Additionally, the Senior Technology Manager will handle various tasks related to capital management, monthly alignments and updates, prepare mobilization slides, and special topics required to develop the capital pipeline. Collaboration with relevant stakeholders and participation in meetings and reports will also be crucial to the role.

Site Support:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for sites seeking assistance or guidance.
- Providing direct support to resolving issues or identifying the appropriate resources within BASF for assistance.
- Coordinating with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution of site issues.
- Maintaining effective communication channels with sites to address any concerns or queries.
Capital Management:
- Managing current and future capital projects within the organization.
- Conducting monthly alignments and updates on the progress of capital projects.
- Facilitating mobilizations, pre-approvals, and final approvals for projects exceeding $500k.
- Preparing the Path to Commission S for capital projects in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Identifying and tracking special topics required to develop the capital pipeline.
- Collaborating with RGU, GBM, GEC, and other stakeholders to ensure effective capital management.
Process Improvement and EHS:
- Serving as the global focal point for process innovation in technology.
- Primarily interfacing between R&D and the technology group.
- Managing and ensuring a robust process innovation pipeline.
- Anticipating and collaborating with project stakeholders to enhance process safety, environmental stewardship, automation concepts, quality improvements, and risk control measures.
- Supporting Clean Sheets Safety Reviews and RC audit.

If you...
- Have a bachelor’s degree in a technically relevant science or engineering field. Masters or PHD preferred.
- Hold 6+ years of manufacturing/technology experience or R&D experience preferably in catalyst production and/or solids handling.
- Hold experience leading process improvement and capital projects.
- Are a professional with expertise, demonstrated by a history of growth, advancement, expanding influence and recognition as subject matter expert.
- Have exceptional communication skills (written and oral) including: the ability to present to all levels of the organization including senior executives and site operations and the ability to work effectively with all organizations at BASF to provide support and technical leadership.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $165.000,00 - $175.000,00. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
