This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enables new applications with innovative surfaces.

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be part of the ECO/T customization team supporting a senior chemist in developing new automotive coatings formulas that meet customer requirements for appearance, workability, and film performance. The position will also support projects to resolve customer concerns with workability and film performance.

As a Lab Technician, you create chemistry by...

• Be working in a chemical laboratory supporting the development of automotive coatings. Assisting in developing a superior paint coating by accurately making lab scale batches, evaluating wet paint properties, spraying paint samples, and evaluating dry film properties (appearance, color, etc.).
• Following instructions, documenting your daily lab work, and effectively communicating your results to make informed decisions at each stage of the project.
• Maintaining a clean and efficient laboratory by participating in existing Lean, 5S, safety, stocking, and cleaning procedures. Generating ideas that improve the safety, efficiency and overall effectiveness of the laboratory and its team.
• Being available to work flexible work shifts to complete assigned projects. Occasionally travel to customer facilities to support trials.

If you...

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent with least 2 years of practical laboratory experience in a chemical related field, preferably automotive coatings (Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree in a technical major is a plus).
• Possess good organization skills and time management. As you will support multiple projects, each with their own requirements and deadlines.
• Are able to demonstrate your color vision by taking the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 HueColor Vision Test during the interview process
• Are experienced with Microsoft office to prepare reports summarizing laboratory results.
• Are able to safely lift 50-pounds.
