Contract Duration: 4 - 6 months (Summer 2026)

Location: Lethbridge, AB

Wage: $24 - $31 / Hour

During peak periods in the season, overtime will be paid for evenings or weekends.

We are looking for a Canola Seed Production Research Summer Associate to join our Agriculture Solutions team in Lethbridge, AB.

As a Canola Seed Production Research Summer Associate , you create chemistry by...

  • Being involved in plot and field scale trials for the Certified Seed Supply team.
  • Participating in programs evaluating innovative seed canola production methods. The main objective of the program is to improve and optimize production systems that influence seed quality and seed yield from parental lines.
  • Being responsible for field activities related to the management and data collection from multiple sites located in Southern Alberta, in addition to the collection of data there are responsibilities that include but are not limited to the timely execution of agronomic practices such as planting, spraying, crop synchronization, mowing harvesting and sample processing.

If you have...

  • Above average communication skills and the understanding of working on team settings.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills/comfortable working alone from time to time
  • Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise minimizing impact on results
  • Experience with farm equipment (Highly desired)
  • Agronomic knowledge attained through pursuing your degree in Agriculture or similar program, preferably along with experience in the Agriculture or Farming Industry.
