Area:
In BASF, our Finance Order-to-Cash (F-O2C) team is essential for ensuring efficiency and reliability in the financial management of our operations in the Americas. From HUB Montevideo, we cover processes from the moment of sale to the moment of customer payment and are responsible for key areas such as treasury and cash management, accounts receivable, collections management, credit management, intercompany reconciliation, and master data for customers and suppliers. Our goal is to maintain robust and agile processes, minimize financial and operational risks, and promote continuous innovation through the digitalization and automation of tasks.
Main Objective of the Position:
To execute collection activities and reconcile accounts for third-party customers and/or regions with low complexity in a timely manner, while continuously seeking improvements in these processes.
Main Tasks:
- Reach out to customers through various communication channels (e.g., emails, calls, WhatsApp) and provide updated account statements to low-complexity customers and the responsible sales teams.
- Supply necessary information to the Accounts Receivable team to ensure proper application of received payments and maintain updated customer information in the Collection tool (Get Paid).
- Address discrepancies reported by customers related to billing by coordinating with the respective teams.
- Participate in ad hoc meetings with clients and business teams.
- Adhere to processes outlined in the established guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
- Engage in small projects with the support of the designated focal person.
- Be responsible for monitoring KPIs such as Overdue and DSO for the assigned portfolio of low complexity businesses, providing explanations upon request.
Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:
- Education | Student or bachelor’s degree in International Business, Communication, or related fields.
- Work Experience | 1 to 3 years in customer service role
- Languages | Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written. Portuguese valued.
- Technical Skills | Basic proficiency in Excel ; knowledge of SAP is valued.
- Soft Skills | Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and basic problem-solving skills.
