WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We are currently seeking a talented professional to take on a hybrid role as a Process Mining Specialist and Solutions Architect to join our team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory, with a specific focus on Process Mining.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading and orchestrating the IT solution process in the various phases of solution design development to ensure smooth execution and compliance with current security and compliance requirements
• Acting as the technical lead and advisor in the ongoing process mining tool selection and tender managed by GD (central IT), representing the AP (Agricultural Solutions) perspective and ensuring AP requirements are reflected.
• Supporting the evaluation of candidate tools (e.g., capabilities, architecture, licensing, scalability, integration feasibility).
• Translating business and process requirements from the AP Process Team into technical criteria for tool setup.
• Designing the integration architecture of the selected process mining solution within the AP IT landscape, including interfaces to SAP Signavio, SAP backend systems, and relevant non-SAP applications.
• Defining and overseeing the technical onboarding of AP processes to the selected tool, ensuring data quality and compliance with privacy and security standards.
• Acting as technical bridge between the AP Process House Team, the AP IT Team, and GD during and after implementation, to reinforce organizational culture through transparency and stakeholder empowerment.
• Creating clear and comprehensive documentation of the solution design, including architecture diagrams, integration patterns, and technical governance alignment
• Coordinating with Enterprise Architecture and ensuring alignment with existing standards and system landscape.
• Providing guidance and support to AP delivery teams for continuous improvement use cases based on process mining insights and to support change management efforts.
• Staying updated on technology trends in process mining, performance analytics, and process automation to identify future opportunities for value creation.
• Driving the implementation of the new process mining tool across the E2E Process House structure such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Manufacturing.
• Assisting GPOs and business leaders in securing approvals and funding for prioritized projects and providing them with regular updates on progress risks, and outcomes.
• Ensuring alignment with AP Process House governance models, decision rights, transformation lifecycle and transformation goals through project execution monitoring across regions and function.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

• Proven experience with Process Mining technologies (e.g., Celonis, SAP Signavio Process Intelligence, PAFnow, Minit, etc.).
• Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to Pay, Make-to-Deliver, etc.) and how they are modeled and executed within SAP ERP and S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of data extraction from SAP and non-SAP sources relevant to process mining.
• Ability to analyze, challenge, and improve KPI frameworks and conformance metrics in collaboration with business stakeholders with the assistance of data visualization tools
• Experience working as an interface between business process teams and central IT governance bodies.
• Ideally, prior involvement in IT tool evaluations and vendor selection processes.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
