Area:
In BASF, our Finance Order-to-Cash (F-O2C) team is essential for ensuring efficiency and reliability in the financial management of our operations in the Americas. From HUB Montevideo, we cover processes from the moment of sale to the moment of customer payment and are responsible for key areas such as treasury and cash management, accounts receivable, collections management, credit management, intercompany reconciliation, and master data for customers and suppliers. Our goal is to maintain robust and agile processes, minimize financial and operational risks, and promote continuous innovation through the digitalization and automation of tasks.
Main Objective of the Position:
This role is responsible for the monthly reconciliation of BASF intercompany transactions (for the Americas) and the accurate and timely execution of all invoicing processes.
Main Tasks:
- Conduct monthly reconciliations within BASF companies (Americas region), ensuring timely adjustments and justifications as needed.
- Analyze and follow up on open items resulting from the monthly reconciliation process.
- Accurately create Volume Rebates contracts in a timely manner.
- Execute volume rebates credit notes promptly and accurately.
- Generate monthly reports for stakeholders regarding volume rebates in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the Business Units (BUs) through phone calls, meetings, and training sessions.
- Create and manage royalties contracts in accordance with guidelines, ensuring timely execution.
- Monitor, report, and follow up on the suspended billing process weekly with the BUs.
- Oversee and report, as necessary, on the agency business process.
Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements
- Education | University degree or advanced student in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Working Experience | 1 to 3 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Language Skills | Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written (will be tested)
- Technical Skills | Basic proficiency in Excel ; knowledge of SAP is valued.
- Soft Skills | Strong teamwork, proactive attitude, and effective communication skills.
