In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Mauldin Site Logistics Operation. As the Site Security Manager, you will also be responsible for acting as the Security liaison between BASF Corporate Security Service, 3rd Party Security Professionals and Site Personnel, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.

As a Logistics and Security Manager, you create chemistry by...

  • Supporting coordination of raw material deliveries and product shipments. This includes shipment documentation for outbound shipments such as finished goods, waste, and technical materials. Your understanding of Logistics Operations tasks will be a valued asset for these tasks.
  • Acting as the Site Security Representative, you will coordinate site security interests between internal and external resources, between regional and global areas of responsibility and develop action plans to address security gaps as they are identified.
  • Ensuring shipments are in compliance with corporate guidelines and government regulations (RCRA, DOT, and other Domestic and International regulations). You will also be required to maintain knowledge on regulatory compliance: RCRA, DOT, and other Domestic and International regulations) and ensure supply of DOT labels/placards to support all shipments.
  • Supporting our 3rd party Logistics provider (The Mundy Co) in ensuring safe operation of BASF assets by supporting onboarding and training of personnel, providing regular feedback on performance and collaborating on continuous improvement.
  • Striving to best support our product and raw material pipeline, you will be responsible for coordination between site resources, product management, customers and key suppliers towards meeting delivery and scheduling plans.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in SAP to manage adequate communication/accounting between incoming/on-hand and consumed inventory. You will also use this experience for MRP, processing orders, and receipts/shipping in SAP, resolving discrepancies of monthly inventory balance with Accounting and Production.
  • Transforming Site Logistics processes with a focus on continuous improvement; aimed at delivering target levels for Key Performance Indicators including on-time delivery, asset effectiveness, product quality, and EHS performance.

If you...

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or above is preferred.
  • Possess minimum of 5 years of Logistics experience.
  • Bring minimum of 5 years in people management roles, OR 10 years of experience in a technical or operations role.
  • Have SAP experience
