We are looking for a Sr. Brand Manager - Seed Treatments and Pre-Seed Herbicides to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Calgary, AB.

The Sr. Brand Manager – Cereal Seed Treatments and Pre-Seed Herbicides is responsible for the brand strategy of Insure Cereal FX4, Teraxxa F4 and Smoulder as it relates to the overall crop solution campaign, ensuring the annual product-on-ground (POG) budget/s are achieved as well as managing the associated campaigns for the applicable products as it pertains to advertising, sales and promotion.

- Owning, developing, and leading the development of brand campaigns as part of the overall Cereal crop solutions by working closely with the Cereal and Pulse Market Manager, Technical Service, Sales, and Customer Solutions Team (CXT) to implement an effective campaign for growers, retailers, and retail agronomists.
- Supporting the Cereal and Pulse Market Manager in managing the profitability of the Cereal portfolio through monthly product forecasting, accurate financial planning, programming and lifecycle management, gathering competitive insights, and conducting accurate financial planning that is driving 10Y planning and resource allocation.
- Working with the sales team to support brand messaging, positioning, and sales. Acting as the brand champion for Cereal CP Products, ensuring consistent brand positioning across the crops by working with other Brand Managers and the Cereal and Pulse Market Manager.
- Aligning brands to the overall crop solution campaign with the go-to-market strategy of BASF Agricultural Solutions Canada, being involved with the product launch excellence (PLE) process at submission on assigned brands, and working closely with the Senior Brand Manager to set annual financial and accrual budgets as well as long-term forecasts.
- Leading Seed Treatment LCM for BASF Agricultural Solutions Canada, working closely with regional marketing on new project concepts including business case development, and collaborating with the CND seed treatment and herbicide molecule team.
- Providing support to market program development and participating in Head Office account customer strategy meetings.
- Working closely with the Cereal and Pulse Manager and CST team to support the annual financial and accrual budget development as well as providing input into long-term forecasting and planning.
If you have...
- A BSc in Business/Marketing or Agriculture.
- Minimum 8 years in sales and / or a marketing role, preferably within the agricultural industry.
- Sound understanding of marketing, sales and customer relationship management.
- An understanding of growers, distributors and agronomy for the crop protection industry.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as a proven record of achieving goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills including listening, presenting, writing, team work and the ability to lead a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel across Canada, as business needs dictate.
