Responsibilities:

To manage sales of surface treatment business unit under the Chemetall® brand via direct in assigned Industries of Auto OEMs, General industry and Aluminium Finishing of Thailand aiming to generate sustainable sales growth for Thailand.

Sales and Development:

  • Assume full responsibility for sales and technical services in the appointed territories and customers’ accounts
  • To promote and expand the outlined products to new and existing customers
  • To attend to customers’ queries by following up with replies and monitor progress to ensure positive sales
  • To maintain consistent after-sales support with customers
  • To ensure sales target is achieved and to prepare sales budget upon request
  • To collect and update market and competitors’ information
  • To conduct sales presentation to customers and distributors
  • To produce reports on visits to and meetings with customers
  • To follow up with customers of their outstanding debt, as and when needed
  • To maintain a high level of sales professionalism to customers and colleagues
  • To strictly comply and adhere to the Company's Code Of Conduct
  • To fulfill any other duties that may be assigned as and when required

Technical Service / Consultancy:

  • To ensure technical consultancy and support to customers on product applications, process optimization, trouble-shootings, and handling complaints independantly and/or by connecting the customer teams with our regional technology experts and local technical sales support to provide solutions to proactively avoid or sort out technical issues
  • To initiate technical lab support or reformulations request of products via CURT workflows in BASF’s Salesforce system
  • Possess very sound technical knowledge and field experience for deep core of products and process control for assigned segments

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science, major in Chemistry
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Commercial or Technical roles in Surface Treatment industry
  • Has the ability to work in multi-cultural environment and matrix organizations
  • Has sound knowledge of Surface Treatment markets, products, application processes and technology
  • Very fluent in Thai language and a good command of English; ability to conduct business discussions in other languages such as Japanese or Mandarin will be an added advantage
  • Ability to handle conflict management and good communication skills to convince all levels including senior management and across all other functions such as Production, Application and Procurement as well as Line operators and Lab staff
  • Good relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Salesforce CRM know-how is an added advantage
