Area:

In BASF, our Finance Order-to-Cash (F-O2C) team is essential for ensuring efficiency and reliability in the financial management of our operations in the Americas. From HUB Montevideo, we cover processes from the moment of sale to the moment of customer payment and are responsible for key areas such as treasury and cash management, accounts receivable, collections management, credit management, intercompany reconciliation, and master data for customers and suppliers. Our goal is to maintain robust and agile processes, minimize financial and operational risks, and promote continuous innovation through the digitalization and automation of tasks.

Main Objective of the Position:

Responsible for compiling all MEC adjustments for the Americas, based on the monthly reconciliation outputs between BASF companies worldwide, ensuring timely delivery. Also in charge of coordinating internal invoicing processes to ensure they are executed in line with SLA requirements.

Actively participates in global communities and serves as a key point of reference both within the team and across international forums.

Main Tasks:

  • Coordinate MEC schedules with the team to meet deadlines for monthly adjustments related to BASF reconciliation. Review adjustments before submitting them to the global team.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Global Reconciliation Team regarding questions or concerns.
  • Serve as the focal point for reconciliation and invoicing processes within BASF teams, including interactions with internal and external auditors.
  • Perform final checks on Year-End Closing (YEC) notes in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits by analyzing, consolidating, and submitting requested information.
  • Actively participate in global taskforce meetings to exchange knowledge and best practices.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and implement processes and tasks within high-impact projects.
  • Understand the end-to-end process, promoting new solutions, standardizing procedures, and supporting both the team and stakeholders.

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements

  • Education: University degree or advanced student in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Working Experience: 6 to 8 years of professional experience in finance or similar
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written (will be tested). Portuguese is highly valued
  • Technical Skills: Manejo avanzado de Excel y conocimientos de SAP o otros ERP
  • Soft Skills: Strong effective communication, teamwork, high degree of analytical thinking, proactive, independent in decision making.
