Main responsibilities

  • Manage regional business operations for Global Key Accounts (GKA), encompassing pricing strategy, contract negotiations including tolling business models and full molecule bidding, while ensuring alignment with overarching global strategies.
  • Drive Strategic Objectives: Coordinate regional sales activities across multiple countries in Asia Pacific for the GKA in coordination with regional and country sales to achieve global and regional targets.
  • Develop New Business: Lead the initiation and execution of new business opportunities through effective project management.
  • Optimize Commercial Performance: Enhance product portfolio results by promoting offerings, introducing new products, developing marketing plans, and recommending pricing strategies based on market analysis.
  • Customer Value Analysis: Assess customer value within BASF’s Oleo Surfactants & Alcohols portfolios to classify accounts and define strategies that maximize profitability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze monthly sales and profit trends, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to prevent business losses.
  • Market & Competitor Insights: Conduct market research, monitor competitor activities, and create benchmarking tools to evaluate competitive positioning.
  • Operational Coordination: Collaborate with customer service, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure timely deliveries; enforce pricing and payment policies in line with regional guidelines and maintain accurate credit records.
  • Account Management: Strengthen client relationships through regular engagement, ensuring sales targets and KPIs are met while fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Customer Data Analysis: Consolidate and analyze customer requirements, buying cycles, and delivery schedules to identify growth opportunities and future prospects.
  • Work closely with EMO regional business management, while maintaining strong global alignment with respective counterparts to ensure we leverage value from our partnership with these accounts on a global scale.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven successful performance with minimum 10 years’ working experience in sales & marketing with exposure to managing Global key accounts.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills, market analysis capabilities, and customer relationship management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Language: Proficiency in English.
