Objectives:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Automation Engineer, you design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure product quality and release stability. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, validate functionality across platforms, and deliver high-quality products to customers
Main Task:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress and Postman to validate application functionality and performance
- Demonstrate experience in application testing, along with current working knowledge of modern tools and testing methodologies; review, analyze, test, and communicate findings back to the development team to improve business-critical solutions
- Apply strong test strategy and planning skills to develop well-defined test strategies, outline automation, and ensure overall test coverage within a digital landscape
- Rely on knowledge and experience with DevOps methodology to promote a culture of automated integration and emphasize the crucial role of continuous testing. Collaborate with development teams in Agile methodologies to understand software requirements and design appropriate test strategies
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on test design and implementation
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues
- Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, leveraging DevOps practices to enhance the testing process
- Maintain and enhance existing automated test frameworks, ensuring they remain robust and efficient
- Document testing processes, results, and methodologies to ensure transparency and traceability
- Utilize the ability to understand complex business processes to contribute to product requirements using behavior-driven development
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in automation testing and tools
- Participate in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering with a specialization in Software Development or equivalent experience
- Possessing 4+ years' experience as a QA Automation Engineer
- Minimum 2 years' experience with Cypress and Postman
- Exhibits a firm understanding of STLC, BDD, and OOPS
- Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners and designers.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and ability to write effective test cases
- Experience working in Agile teams, demonstrating adaptability and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- 1+ years’ experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- ISTQB Certification
- Fluent English skills
