WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
As part of an engaged and competent team, you will work on the development, validation, and implementation of a first-principles model for an industrial-scale plastic waste pyrolysis reactor, leading to a simulation tool for designing and optimizing process operating conditions, while contributing to a real-life industrial project and independently managing tasks with scientific support throughout.
- You will propose and develop a dynamic model for the process based on literature as well as internal expertise.
- Furthermore, you will implement the model in Python, adhering to best coding practices.
- You will validate the model using experimental data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- As part of your work, you will create clear visualizations, maintain thorough documentation and you will present your results to research partners.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- ongoing studies in chemical engineering, process engineering, physics or mathematics
- experience in Python
- Know-how with dynamic models, including ordinary and partial differential equations
