About the Role
Reporting to Head of Investment Planning, Dispersions & Resins, you will:
- Manage and oversee CapEx investments to assist business units within the Operating Division (OD) in allocating resources to achieve their objectives
- Improve and execute the investment planning and budgeting process, including CapEx and OpEx reporting and forecasting, to align with corporate guidelines and derive best practices
- Drive process improvements to accommodate evolving business needs and requirements
- Support Operational Excellence within the OD through proactive control of assets and investments and act as a key interface between Corporate Technology and business units
How You Will Do It
Investment Planning & Reporting
- Responsible for managing monthly forecasting and reporting for CapEx and OpEx
- Drive the annual CapEx budgeting process and closely monitor actual development on a monthly basis to ensure cost and budget control for the entire investment portfolio
- Maintain and update the CapEx database according to the steering concept, ensuring timely and accurate information from Global/ Regional business units
- Prepare and provide monthly CapEx reports to OD management for planning, decision making, and steering purposes
- Enhance and maintain OD CapEx & OpEx PowerBI dashboards for improved reporting, controlling, and transparency
- Collaborate with the global CapEx community to share best practices, drive process simplification, and represent OD's interests
- Work with corporate units (such as Corporate Economic Evaluation, Corporate Technology and Corporate Finance) to support the annual CapEx planning cycle and strategic controlling for investments
Project Evaluation & Financial Consultation Support
- Provide consultation to business units regarding project approval requirements, OpEx budget criteria, budget application, and benefits tracking
- Collaborate with business units and Corporate Economic Evaluation to assist in the annual project prioritization process for Commission S projects
- Support post-implementation audits and reviews in alignment with OD CapEx guidelines
- Ensure proper documentation of project approvals and reports for future tracking, audit purposes, and compliance with processes
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Chemistry or Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business controlling and/or financial analysis and/or engineering and/or technology with strong financial acumen from industrial environment
- Solid understanding and experience in working with various controlling related tools e.g., SAP, Maris, Force, PowerBI; basic digital skills are beneficial
- Proficient in MS Office applications, mainly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong in strategic and analytical thinking with excellent communication skills
**Less qualified candidates would also be considered at Job Grade 4**
