Western Canada Region, based out of Alberta
We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Automotive Refinish team in Western Canada.
BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces.
Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, Western Canada, you will drive profitable organic growth through customer acquisitions and retention of existing customers across the Western Canadian Automotive Refinish business focus sectors. You will be responsible for profitable organic sales growth of existing accounts, developing our customer base in key strategic markets, aligning strategic account growth plans with distribution strategy, and leading all activities associated with the new market and customer growth with a focus on national accounts and cross-regional players. - Leveraging your education and commercial, business or automotive experience (automotive refinish experience strongly preferred), you will drive new market and customer growth through opening doors and developing long-term relationships and trust in the industry and with strategic sectors across Western Canada.
- Working closely with business development specialists on the execution of the strategic business plan with a focus on supporting the retention, growth, and expansion of strategic sector customers.
- Developing sales proposals and negotiating sales contracts with the customer, as well as obtaining necessary internal approvals.
- Using your strong business acumen with a drive to achieve results, you will review and qualify customer financials, market situation, insurance, and partner relationships to determine BASF success.
- Using your strong computer skills will be essential as you manage all customer activity within the Salesforce database.
If you have...
- Education and five or more years strategic sales, commercial or automotive experience (automotive refinish experience strongly preferred).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of corporate account management.
- CRM expertise such as Salesforce is essential for customer management activity.
- Strong set of ethics and values, integrity, and trust.
