Main Tasks:
- Handles work packages in complex projects and topics independently and actively initiates optimization measures within the assigned work area
- Team member in regional projects and responsible for the technical progress of the work packages, fulfilment of set technical milestones, documentation & project reports
- Supports the project or topic manager in project team alignments, pilot trials and production feasibility assessment
- Designs the work plan independently and aligns with the functional manager
- Supports the Segment lab expert in the technical training of new colleagues in technical/business teams
- Actively involved in the ideation/opportunity finding process within the framework of the BASF innovation process
- Builds knowledge of the lab equipment, techniques and evaluation methods, shares with the relevant partners and suggests continuous improvement measures
- Actively builds the technical know-how in the assigned working area, current product development and IP status, identifies avenues to create IP for BASF and supports the functional manager in extending the scope of the working area.
- Builds network with relevant functions within the operating division and research functions through active exchange
- Responsible for ensuring the occupational, health and environment safety in the assigned working area in compliance with BASF and local country regulations with support from functional manager
- Reviews working instructions, maintenance procedures and operation related risks regularly and initiates necessary measures with support from the functional manager
- Compliance with the cost regulations and strong alignment with the functional manager
- Providing guidance to interns and ensuring their work safety
Main Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
- More than 5 years in PU Technology and related applications.
- Strong presentation skills, IT skills and understanding of IP
