Objectives of the Position
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, enhancing operation efficiencies and excellence, and ensuring the seamless integration of digital technologies across organization for Product Safety
- Drive and support the creation of the Product Safety region digital strategy with the major focus on adapting the digital strategy and roadmap to regional needs
- Ensuring harmonization of all operational processes improvement and optimization to achieve process efficiency, cost efficient and service excellence, and in accordance to BASF strategy
- Drive the development and implementation of data analytics initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and business insights
- Lead the transformational change of digitalization and foster collaboration with various region and global stakeholders
Main Tasks
- Identify improvement and optimization opportunities (including challenges) through comprehensive assessment of current and/or new business/operation processes and digital applications/assets within Safety Cluster (Product Safety) domain
- Develop and manage the effective implementation and execution of the digitalization and analytics roadmap in KL Hub and the Asia Pacific that aligns with business priorities and maximizes impact
- Serve as a data analytics subject matter expert to promote a data-driven culture through the implementation of automated workflows using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Managing digital project management including the project development, budgeting and project execution on time and within budget
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for successful project implementation and deliverables
- Drive operational process efficiency and optimization initiatives via digitalization and data analytics to meet business demand
- Foster collaboration within Product Safety Community to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices throughout the digitalization journey
- Contribute to strengthen BASF compliance framework and customer centricity via digital solution
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, computer engineering or related field is essential
Working Experience
- At least 8 years in digitalization related competencies, project management
- Hands on experience in implementing digital transformation
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Experience in identifying and evaluating emerging disruptive trends, including digitization and data analytics, analyzing potential opportunities, risks and barriers to adoption internally and across various business units
- Proficiency in Power Apps and Power Automate is essential. Familiarity with Power BI and generative AI is a plus
- Good understanding on the criticality of compliance
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
