The Supply Chain Planner, Polyurethanes (PU) reports to the Supply Chain Manager for Polyurethanes (PU). As a member of the Polyurethane Systems Supply Chain Team, you will be primarily responsible for raw material planning at the Livonia MI facility. This will include planning of internal and external raw materials and packaging, imports, and management of supply/demand balance.

As a Supply Chain Planner, you create chemistry by...

  • Leveraging your educational and professional background in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field, to manage inventory levels to support targets and achieve desired customer service levels.
  • Providing your familiarity with material planning processes, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP), as this will be a valued asset as you order raw materials and packaging to meet the production plan.
  • Managing dysfunctional inventory including spot sales, waste disposal and container recycling.
  • Coordinating and reconciling monthly cycle counts. Assisting the receiving/warehouse team members with inventory discrepancies.
  • Communicating the site’s needs and requirements with procurement agents and suppliers via forecasting processes
  • Contributing to supply chain KPIs including inventory targets, cost savings initiatives, reduction of dysfunctional inventory

If you have...

  • BA or BS degree in Supply Chain management, Business Management or related field (preferred) with a minimum 2 years of experience is Supply Chain, Customer Care, production planning, production scheduling, material planning, or related field. Non-degreed candidates would be expected to have 6-10 years of related experience in Customer Care, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations or Production.
  • Detailed working knowledge of SAP relative to production planning, raw material replenishment, material master maintenance, shipping scheduling, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment to collaborate for achievement.
  • Outstanding communications, written and verbal communication skills, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
