Objectives of the position:

  • To develop and implement Supply Chain strategies and initiatives that align with the organization’s overall objectives and goals.
  • To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Supply Chain operations by implementing the best practices, streaming processes, optimizing resources
  • To build and lead a high-performing team in the SEA region (leading teams based in Singapore and operationally across SEA)
  • To collaborate with other Departments to ensure alignment and integration of Supply Chain operations with overall business operations
  • To monitor and manage Supply Chain risks and implement contingency plan as needed

Core responsibilities:

  • To oversee planning, inventory management, customer service, logistics, transportation, and warehousing activities to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods to achieve high customer satisfaction in the SEA region
  • Continuous improvement of demand driven Supply Chain processes and ensuring system-based demand and stock management to reduce aging inventories, write-off and urgent air shipment
  • To monitor Key Performance Indicators within Supply Chain SEA team and make data-driven decisions to enhance supply chain performance that meet organization’s objectives and goals
  • Fostering digitalization and automation initiatives to ensure efficient supply chain processes which include monitoring stringent use and compliance of digital Warehouse Management collaboration with Site Manager
  • To build a strong Supply Chain Team in SEA and provide guidance, ensure the team is equipped with skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles and develop opportunities for team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Frequent analysis of warehouse and logistic provider network to derive and implement necessary improvement measures in close collaboration with procurement and business team

Qualifications and job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as Supply Chain management, Logistics, Engineering or Business Administration
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in a leadership position in chemical industry
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, transportation and warehousing in chemical manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and implement process improvement
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, change management skills and able to work in diverse levels of international and local collaboration, flexible in agile environment
