As a part of the team, you will lead the regional sales and marketing activities for our engineering plastics portfolio while managing key customer and distributor relationships. You will combine commercial and technical expertise to identify opportunities and deliver tailored BASF solutions
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; a background in Chemical Engineering is preferred.
- Fresh graduates are welcome; preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in sales. Prior experience in engineering plastics is highly preferred, while experience in the chemical industry is also acceptable.
- Exceptional communication, persuasion and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence decision‑makers and drive new business opportunities.
- Proven ability (or strong potential) to work effectively in a field‑sales environment, with a clear focus on identifying new customers, developing business continuously, and maintaining a high level of market activity.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and to manage business interactions, reporting, and coordination with regional and global teams.
- A valid driver’s license with no travel restrictions, willingness to be actively present in the field, and openness to frequent travel (approximately 70–80%)
- While the role is primarily based in Istanbul, applicants currently living in Kocaeli or Bursa will also be considered for the role.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Leading sales and marketing activities for our engineering plastics portfolio within Türkiye.
- Managing the full commercial cycle and all related sales and technical processes within the assigned territory.
- Building and strengthening relationships with customers, distributors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across existing customers, new accounts, OEMs, and targeted industries.
- Understanding market and industry needs to effectively position BASF’s product and service offerings.
- Leveraging both commercial and technical expertise to achieve business objectives
- Managing force majeure–related communication and processes to ensure business continuity
- Overseeing distributor performance and driving effective collaboration across Türkiye.
