Senior Manager, Order‑to‑Cash (Regional)

Objectives of the Position

  • Lead the regional OTC Team of in total 30 FTE, including cooperation with the relevant Units/ Functions and sites.
  • Responsible for ensuring that tasks and responsibilities are firmly anchored within the team. Monitoring of performance and results via KPIs and suitable benchmarks.
  • Responsible for optimizing and developing personnel, processes, and distribution of tasks.

Main Tasks

Responsibilities and key activities

  • Responsible for the disciplinary and functional leadership of the whole OTC team of total 29 FTEs for all countries in Asia
  • Continuously exchange and manage the country sales heads, by collecting their concerns and feedback on day to day operations and break it down to the team for execution
  • Coordinate required activities in the event of supply bottlenecks and ensure adequate, timely communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to customer specific process requirements and other agreed standards, i.e. delivery process, labeling, invoicing
  • Work closely with other teams, especially Planning, Sales, TM / Export & Customs to ensure efficient processes and work procedures
  • Foster a seamless customer experience culture within the team
  • Pro-Actively collect insights from external views and drive innovation and digitalization
  • Ensure all processes are compliant with regulatory and BASF requirements

Organization & People

  • Identify development needs of employees and take care of knowledge transfer and their further training.
  • In alignment with supply chain director, establish annual goals and objectives for the team in coordination with BU objectives, and manage performance to ensure attainment
  • Strategically develop the organization to be competitive within the chemical market

Optimization & Projects

  • Lead the identification of continuous improvement opportunities related to customer service, supply chain and others.
  • Drive AI solutions related to OTC field
  • Ensure timely implementation of agreed improvement projects within the team including adequate tools and systems.

Cost, Performance & Compliance

  • Set up an environment for long-term performance improvements by setting and monitoring targets / key performance indicators (KPI/PPI) incl. Identification of saving potentials, ensuring strict compliance with regulations, and group standards.
  • Timely implementation of sustainable countermeasures in the event of a deviation.
  • Keep an eye on the overall budget and drive cost optimization projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business administration or familiar areas
  • At least 5 years experience in the area of supply chain management
  • At least 4 years experience in a leadership role
  • Pro-found understanding in supply chain distribution set ups and processes
  • Experience in customer service in an international company for more than 5 years or relevant work experience in SCM/sales/controlling/, chemical industry background is a plus
  • Chemical industry background preferred
  • Proactive, can work independently and in teams

Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Practical knowledge in SAP
  • Experience in leading a team
  • High analytical skills
  • Pro-found experience in Microsoft tools (Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English as well as Mandarin
  • Team spirit and high willingness to collaborate across different functions
