Position Summary and Overview
The Senior HR Director for Commercial Americas and EMEA will be crucial in driving business growth and fostering a high-performing organizational culture. This role involves developing, implementing, and leading innovative talent strategies and culture initiatives to attract, grow, and retain a diverse, top-talent leadership pipeline.
As part of the LBS HR Leadership Team, and reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will collaborate with LBS senior operations, GSC, QARC, and DBS leaders to advance talent strategies and cultural excellence. You will also lead OpCo-wide initiatives designed to transform our organization to enhance performance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Planning: Utilzing data and key insights, support development and execution of the HR Strategy that supports the company's growth and operational goals, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent, with an eye on diversity, in the medical device industry.
- Engagement and Retention: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by managing employee relations, addressing employee concerns, and resolving conflicts. Implement policies and procedures to promote employee engagement and connection between their work and the overarching objectives.
- Improving Leadership Effectiveness and Performance: Enhance the skills, abilities, and behaviors of leaders within an organization. Improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.
- Enhancing Organization and Culture: Identify and implement initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, improving the structure, systems, and environment within a company to create a more efficient, effective, and positive workplace.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required, Master’s degree in business, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of proven experience leading in human resources and/or business partnerships.
- Ability to synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic HR solutions that are forward-thinking and innovative. Strong intuition for business and ability to apply human capital implications.
- Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity.
- Solid team skills, the ability to build relationships, and be able to work efficiently and effectively with associates at all levels of the organization. Strong understanding/ application of organizational change and process excellence principles.
Location:
- Based in Chicago area as a primary location. This role offers relocation assistance.
Travel: 35% (domestic and international)
Language(s): English fluency a must, another language would be ideal
Key Relationships
- Reports directly to: Global VP, HR
- Team: 4 direct reports, ~15 indirect
- Works collaboratively with global LBS HR team and well as with Danaher and other OpCo HR team members
- Works collaboratively with Functional Managers
