The Product Engineer II, Hardware for Cytiva is responsible for driving life cycle management of equipment, being involved in new product development and support the product throughout its entire life cycle, from launch until discontinuation. This includes first line support for complaints, supplier development and validation, VAVE and sustainment engineering.
This position is part of the Product Engineering department located in Hoegaarden and will be fully on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Responsible for managing Biotech hardware design product changes to the current product portfolio through their lifecycle;
- Working in close collaboration with team members and other departments such as R&D, Product Management, Quality and Operations as part of the new product development team where you provide early design input from a manufacturability perspective.
- Partner with internal and external vendors to provide continuous improvement of state-of-the-art product and processes.
- Part of cross functional teams to support projects at global level and lead on local level, and coordinate between PE, R&D, Operations and Quality teams.
- Focus on continuous improvement of products and processes.
Who you are:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree.
- 3 years relevant professional experience.
- Experience in stainless steel mechanical design in a manufacturing environment.
- Have a proven Project Management track-record with the ability to prioritize in a multiple project setting.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience with electrical design and regulatory requirements;
- Experience with external supplier management;
