Background
Biacore develops and manufactures instruments for analysing biomolecular interactions using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology. Surface plasmon resonance is a technique used to study label-free real-time interactions between molecules by measuring minute changes in the refractive index.
The detection sensitivity is essential in Biacore instruments, and the aim of the thesis work is to theoretically investigate how different sensor chip materials affects detection sensitivity. The generation and simulation are preferable done using either AI or genetic algorithms.
The profile we’re looking for:
- Ongoing studies within Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or similar.
- Eligible for master thesis project work between January 2025 - June 2025
- Any experience or prior knowledge about generative AI or genetic algorithms, will be considered an advantage.
- Preferable fluent in the Swedish language.
The ideal candidate should be a curious and open-minded individual with strong problem-solving skills and drive to take initiative on new ideas.
Interview and selection will happen continuously and the opening can be filled before last day of application. For technical questions regarding the thesis project, please contact Tobias Söderman, Staff Software Engineer, at tobias.soderman@cytiva.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
