The Clinical Solution Specialist, Japan is responsible to support the direct sales team from both a clinical knowledge and sales perspective, contributing to the achievement of revenue and margin rate targets. Additionally, you will leverage your deep knowledge to build strong relationships with KOLs and strive to gain cooperation in areas such as insurance reimbursement and drug approval.
This position is part of the Cepheid Japan Commercial Team and will be located in Tokyo (Remote). At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- The Clinical Solutions provides critical clinical insight, combined with deep knowledge on laboratory testing, to advise Cepheid on technologies and strategies in Japan.
- This role will be responsible for building the value stream for testing beyond Laboratory that drive significant impact to the organization.
- The Clinical Solutions will present Cepheid strategy and technology in various formats (oral presentations, webinars, videos, etc.) to all stakeholders, including internal groups such as Sales, Applications & Training, Marketing, Tech Support, etc. and external groups such as KOLs, customers, and prospective customers.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Drive business growth within Cepheid, Japan, develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income. Build long-standing and successful relationships with key clients, adapt solutions for different needs on behalf of the clients.
- Work closely with the Sales/Medical Affairs/marketing/applications/customer care groups to provide input to product development and strategy for the company regarding new applications of Cepheid technology. A person who is proactive and has a strong sense of collaboration as part of a team
- A person who has experienced over 5 years in academic and application-related work including preparing or reviewing customer-facing documents including Guidelines and Technical Bulletins, product inserts, and training materials to enable assay maximization, give presentations on behalf of Cepheid at meetings & webinars
- A person who has 5 years of experience in sales and marketing
- A university graduate or higher
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record &Physical/Environment Requirements;
- 40% travel, overnight,
- Territory: Japan nation wide
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Medical Device Industry Fair Trade Council Regulations Instructor
- Medical Representative license (MR)
