The Regional Marketing Manager, Rest of Asia, is responsible for generating demand primarily in Korea & Taiwan, but also across the JAPAC region. They are expected to grow Awareness, Interest and Desire for Abcam’s broad product range focusing on Scientists and helping our Channel Partner’s maximize their Marketing efforts.

This position reports to the Commercial General Manager, JAPAC and is part of the JAPAC Marketing & Sales Team with team members located across the JAPAC region. This role will be fully remote, based in South Korea.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Market Strategy Development: Create and implement annual marketing plans tailored to the Rest of Asia region, ensuring alignment with global objectives
• Localization: Adapt global marketing programs to resonate with local audiences, ensuring cultural and market-specific relevance
• Campaign Management: Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and events, to drive brand awareness, brand preference, contact acquisition and lead generation
• Event Coordination: Plan and oversee execution of events and tradeshows in Korea & Taiwan, both online and offline
• Collaboration: Work closely with JAPAC Sales team, JAPAC Marketing Team, Global Marketing and Channel Partners to ensure aligned and best in class marketing efforts

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Biology or a related field
• Detailed knowledge of the Korean and Taiwanese market dynamics, business regulations, and Channel Partner networks
• Demonstratable excellence in managing customer interface and relationship both at scientific end-user level, decision making level and Channel Partner level
• Proven track record in executing successful Marketing Campaigns and Events leading to growing Revenue and competitive differentiation
• First class oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal, relationship building and presentation skills in English, Korean and ideally Mandarin

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel 15% of the time across the JAPAC region

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Have a global perspective and enjoy collaboration with senior leaders, in particular the Global Marketing Teams, Regional Marketing & Sales Team
• Possess a high degree of work ethic and professional transparency
• Possess a high degree of digital literacy
