The Manufacturing Manager for Mammotome is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant production, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality and quantity targets. This role leads production teams through effective coordination and planning, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. By fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration, the manager ensures optimal use of resources while maintaining compliance with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and ISO 14001 environmental standards.

This position is part of the Manufacturing team located in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico and will be on-site. At Mammotome, our passion is driving innovative technologies that create efficiencies, while never forgetting that at the heart of every breast cancer journey is a patient.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead Daily Operations: Oversee and ensure the effective execution of production plans, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across all manufacturing activities.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives to improve productivity, material utilization, equipment reliability, and overall operational performance using the Danaher Business System, Lean, and other methodologies.
  • Develop and Empower Teams: Recruit, train, and mentor supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and internal quality systems, including cleanroom and environmental standards (ISO 14001).
  • Optimize Resource Management: Manage budgets, production schedules, and maintenance routines to ensure optimal use of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Contribute, within its capabilities, to the control of the environmental aspects of the organization.
  • Participate in achievement of environmental objectives, goals and compliance of the environmental health and safety policy.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably within medical device manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership experience, including 5 years in management roles overseeing teams in controlled room conditions.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with advanced communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA regulatory standards; committed to maintaining compliance and quality excellence.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing; certification preferred or in progress.
  • APICS CPIM certification is desirable, reflecting a strong foundation in production and inventory management.
  • Solid background in process and manufacturing engineering, with exposure to new product introduction (NPI) and validation/verification (V&V) processes.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Financially literate, with experience in budgeting, P&L management, and variance analysis.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing, collaborative teams.
  • Comply with environmental procedures stablished by the company.
  • Contribute, within its capabilities, to the control of the environmental aspects of the organization.
  • Participate in achievement of environmental objectives, goals and compliance of the environmental health and safety policy.
  • Travel Requirements: Availability to travel; both domestic and international travel may be required .(very limited travel)
