The Manager Materials and Planning for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for material flow and accuracy, coordination of material changes within the factory and provide guidance and support to associates within the department. He/she will be responsible for creating relationship strategies, managing the Blood Donor program to meet customer demands and manages the Finish Goods stockroom supporting multiple stakeholders.

This position is part of Materials Department located in Miami, FL and will be onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our mission is to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One Diagnosis at a Time.

You will be a part of the Materials Department team and report to the Director Materials and Planning responsible for leading the Materials Organization for all functions from Receiving, Storage, Flow and Accuracy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead material Flow/ Accuracy initiatives in a manufacturing operations environment and all aspects of Warehousing/ Flow.
• Develop and implement new processes for the organization to maintain/ improve material accuracy.
• Manage the Blood Service department which supports multiple customers at different sites of the organization.
• Manage the Finish Goods warehouse which provides support to our internal/ external customers.

The essential requirements of the job include

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years’ experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years’ experience, or Doctoral degree with 5+ years’ experience
• 2+ years’ experience in a Material/ Warehousing capacity in a manufacturing environment
• Strong business acumen and ability to build strong business cases to support sourcing decisions.
• Demonstrated use of continuous improvement tools to identify cost savings opportunities
• Experience working with ERP systems

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Ability to travel 10%
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Background in a manufacturing environment
• Comfortable performing responsibilities in a regulated industry
• Lean/Six Sigma skills preferred
