The Microsurgery Sales Manager is primarily responsible for successfully establishing Leica’s premium platforms—ARveo8, MyVeo, Glow400, and Glow800—in the neurosurgery departments of major university hospitals in Korea. Additionally, the role involves managing channel partners to drive sales of mid-range and entry-level systems across appropriate market segments.

This position reports to the Sales Director of Leica Microsystems Korea and is part of the Medical Division’s Microsurgery business, based in Seoul. The role is responsible for nationwide coverage and requires regular travel across South Korea and abroad.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • The opportunity to serve as the key owner of the Microsurgery business in Korea, working closely with cross-functional teams locally and collaborating with regional and global teams.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, or related medical/scientific major preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in capital medical equipment sales, preferably in neurosurgery discipline.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with surgeons and medical staff; ability to understand and speak the language of clinical workflows and surgical procedures.

  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles, tenders, and key accounts in the hospital segment; results-driven mindset with funnel conversion experience using SFDC or other CRMs.

  • Ability to collaborate with global/regional teams in English and influence stakeholders through creative problem-solving and effective communication.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 50%, sometimes including business trips. Weekend work is required for medical congresses or events, with compensatory time-off provided per company policy.

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and comply with safe driving and zero-tolerance DUI policies.

  • Must be able to work in hospital operating room environments and comply with facility-specific safety and gowning protocols.

  • Ability to safely move and maneuver surgical microscopes and related equipment during customer site visits, product demonstrations, or trade events.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Native proficiency in Korean is required; strong English-speaking skills are a plus.

  • Understanding surgical procedures in spine and ENT specialties would be an advantage.

  • Prior experience with distributor or channel partner management is a plus.
