Purpose/Objective:

Creation and maintenance of customer documentation (IFUs, etc.). Execution of design change activities focusing on technical documentation. Managing translation of technical documentation (ext. suppliers)

Area of Responsibilities:

Technical Writing:

• Written and visual communication of complex medical device equipment into concise outputs for customers, incl. creation of photos, drawings and other graphical elements as well as layout
• Create and maintain it according to standards and processes (conciseness, style, terminology, etc.)
• Review of technical documents and recommend revisions or changes (content, format, etc.)
• Detailed understanding of internal development procedures and external global compliance needs
• Liaise with external agencies such as translators
• Keeping up to date with changing global trends in the fields of medical devices and technical writing
• Understand the technical concepts behind instruments incl. software
• Establish and foster relationships with R&D, Product Management and Application
• Assess R&D and sustaining activities to identify gaps and the need for revisions of technical documentation
• Detailed skills in standardization and modularization, both content and layout
• Substitute support for technical writing of service documentation
