Background

Biacore develops and manufactures instruments for analysing biomolecular interactions using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology. Surface plasmon resonance is a technique used to study label-free real-time interactions between molecules by measuring minute changes in the refractive index seen through changes in light reflection from a metal surface.

Objective:

The aim of the thesis work is to theoretically Identify out-of-distribution data in Biacore machine learning applications.

Who you are:

  • Master's student in material physics and computer science.
  • Eligible for master thesis work between January 2026 – June 2026.
  • Any experience or prior knowledge about generative AI or genetic algorithms will be considered an advantage.
  • Motivated and goal-oriented professional with a proactive approach to achieving results.
  • Preferable fluent in the Swedish language
