The Staff Engineer, Verification is responsible for Project Leadership driving Life Cycle Management (LCM) of parts and key sub-systems in advanced Medical Devices through industry-leading Engineering and OEM partners. As verification expert, you will ensure superior verification in your own as well as colleges projects. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how we collaborate with specialized and industry leading partners, as well as internal stakeholders, with special focus on Verification and Validation, to support Radiometer’s product portfolio of Critical Medical Devices.

As Staff Engineer, Verification, you'll work at the forefront of advanced Medical Devices, leveraging unique intellectual property that integrates advanced chemistry, electronics, and mechanical sub-systems. Together, we enable precision diagnostics that help save lives - every single day.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager – Hardware in BDC, Bangalore and is part of the Global Instrument R&D. The position is located in BDC office, Bangalore, India. It will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive Life Cycle Management (LCM), having special focus on verification and validation, through collaboration with external Industry leading partners, internal project teams and stakeholders. You will with your expertise to drive superior and efficient verification and validation
  • You will establish Statements of Work with external partners, be Verification SME (Subject matter expert) and ensure seamless collaboration across internal functions including design engineering, testing, software, service, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to deliver high quality advanced parts and sub-systems.
  • Define and continuously improve processes, utilizing our recognized Danaher Business System (LEAN Tools) for efficient and superior quality and Product Lifecycle Management of parts and sub-systems with External Partners.
  • Driving BOM cost reductions, overseeing associated budgets as well as ensuring superior performance- and compliance-testing.
  • Drive compliance, product quality and reliability, through documentation, change control and incl. transfer to manufacturing to ensure Industry leading Precision Diagnostics.

The essential requirements of the job include: (NOTE For Hiring Manager: Please reference the 3-5-7 Job Requirements Model)

  • A master’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering, combined with Project management experience
  • Solid knowledge of, and experience with, instrument development and verification testing, and the concept of systems engineering including requirement driven design and verification processes.
  • Experience working in, and handling design documentation in, Medical Devices industry (ISO 13485, FDA 21CFR 820.30) and/or other comparable regulated industry (eg Aerospace)
  • 5+ years of experience from external partnerships and working with cross-functional project management preferably within healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Proficient in English, excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities as well as effective communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical, structured, and process-oriented mindset

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel – some travels to partner as well as other Radiometer sites incl HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Proven track record of project management
  • EMC knowledge and experience as well as certification in LabView, NI, Test Stand or similar
  • Experience managing complex Device systems involving mechanical, electrical and software components, which are crucial for diagnostic Instruments
  • Experience from a multi-cultural global company setup
  • Operations Project managements disciplines incl FMEA, Design reviews, DFx, Design for Manufacturing, VAVE, V&V experience etc
