The Operations FP&A Director is responsible for closing, reporting and analysis of Cytiva Operations financial results, providing in-depth analytics and commentary to Cytiva Finance and Operations leaders, together with forecasting, budgeting and leading the Standard Cost update process. This role also provides financial support to the business operations functions, helping leaders manage their cost budgets.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Operation Finance, is part of the Cytiva Operations Finance team and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Own and operationalize the Cytiva Operations monthly closing & forecast processes, operating mechanisms, hand-offs & touchpoints with the Cytiva OpCo Operations Finance teams as appropriate
  • Design and issue standard work to the Cytiva OpCo Operations Finance teams covering all FP&A deliverables, namely monthly close process, monthly forecasts, and annual Budget
  • Lead annual Budget cycle for Cytiva Operations including synchronizing calendars & activities with the OpCo Finance teams, consolidation and analysis of the OpCo plant & BU submissions, and generate the reports and schedules required for Cytiva submissions to Danaher Corporate
  • Lead & coordinate annual Standard Product Cost (SPC) update reviews with OpCo Finance teams, ensuring that analysis is provided which explains the drivers of the change in plants’ SPCs, Labor & Overhead (LOH) rates and the subsequent change in annual COGS
  • Operationalize Daily Management through monthly Bowlers and reporting covering key Operations financial and operational CVDs and metrics. Leverage systems such as Qlik to automate and minimize manual work. Apply DBS tools and lead/participate in DBS processes such as PSPs and Kaizens to continuously improve processes and achieve our targets
  • Generate key Operations financial analysis to support continuous improvement and enabling Cytiva to meet its financial and CVD targets, which include productivity, headcount, inflation/PPV/sourcing variances, MDV (Material Design Variances) etc.
  • Lead FP&A simplification & continuous improvement initiatives for Cytiva Operations Finance, including being the primary point of contact with Cytiva FP&A and OneStream enhancements
  • Lead, coach and develop the Operations FP&A COE team to enable them to support the key activities required to achieve our goals and deliverables, and enabling them to develop their skills, expertise, exposure and productivity.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial experience focused on providing budget, forecast, and business analysis support with a large, sophisticated organization
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated leadership and business partnering competencies, focused on driving operational results. Action-oriented, and proficient in both a supporting and a challenging role with business partners
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & financial modelling skills. Proficiency in financial & BI systems (Oracle, OneStream, QlikSense etc.)
  • Strong technical finance & analytical skills, proven ability to use large sets of data and summarize into key takeaways and actions for the senior leadership team. Strong business acumen, must be able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
