We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Cloud and DevOps to lead our multi-functional software teams to deliver high quality software. In this pivotal role, you will use your technical judgment, experience, and knowledge to build the vision, execution strategy, architecture, and lead teams from concept to deployment and post launch support. The role expands the strategic and executional alignment within engineering and across cross functional groups for a successful delivery of the Software projects.
This position is a leadership role part of the Software Engineering within Global R&D and will be located at Bangalore, India.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Define and align cloud and connectivity software product features and business cases in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead end-to-end development of cloud-based software applications using Agile and Lean methodologies, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards
- Implement and maintain DevOps, Cloud-Ops, and SecOps best practices and playbooks, including proactive monitoring and escalation protocols for critical issues
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), execution models, and process documentation to support scalable, high-quality software feature delivery
- Oversee technical hiring, workforce planning, and resource allocation to meet project capacity requirements and maintain engineering throughput
- Drive engineering execution using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools and frameworks to support operational excellence in regulated software environments
- Provide technical mentorship to cross-functional leaders and ensure integration of software features across systems through structured collaboration and interface management
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Minimum 15 years of software development experience including embedded, application, and cloud technologies; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
- Minimum 4 years of experience managing software engineering teams with measurable delivery outcomes in regulated environments
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing and launching software products for medical instruments within FDA, ISO, or CLIA-regulated industries
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional software initiatives integrating business requirements and technical architecture across global teams
- Experience driving product improvements and design execution based on internal and external customer feedback using structured methodologies such as DBS
- Track record of delivering software applications through collaborative stakeholder engagement and structured process optimization
- Proficient in building and scaling high-performing technical teams aligned with operational excellence and compliance standards
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Customer-first and results-oriented mindset and the ability to make practical decisions when making engineering choices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to navigate complex corporate environments and influence stakeholders and partners.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical audiences.
