We are currently looking for an ‘Organic Chemist’ in Research & Development who will be primarily responsible for the synthesis, purification and characterization of Organic compounds/dyes and intermediates.

This position reports to the < Senior Scientist/ Staff Scientist/ Manager, Development Science > and is part of the R&D team located in Bangalore North facility and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Perform multi step Organic Synthesis and Characterization.
  • Purify different Organic compounds by various chromatography/other separation techniques such as column/flash/HPLC and TFF etc.
  • Work on various analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GPC, UV-Vis, Fluorescence.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Ph.D. with minimum 3+ years of experience or M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry Or a minimum 5+ years of work experience preferably in Organic synthesis and analytical method development/AR&D lab either in Chemical Industries/CROs/APIs or in academic research institutions. Experience in characterization of Organic compounds by NMR, LCMS, UPLC, HPLC, UV-Vis/Spectrofluorometer etc. Especially, on handling of HPLC/UPLC/GPC and analytical method development. Good hands-on experience in multi-step Organic Synthesis, especially on handling and optimization of metal catalyzed C-C, C-N coupling reactions and acid-amine coupling reactions. Good laboratory practices- record notebook maintenance.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: NO Travel is expected for this role. This would be a fully on-site role

Ability to lift/move or carry equipment like centrifuge rotors /solvents/buffers of 10-15 Liter/10-15 Kg capacity.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Polymer synthesis and characterization.
  • Knowledge and experience in synthesis, characterization of Organic dyes and Photochemistry of Dyes.
