Product Sales Specialist – BP Resins for Cytiva is responsible to supports all relevant call points across Bioprocess where Resins are sold. Provide support to Account Managers with expert product knowledge, training and support, whilst working to generate sales from new and existing customers. This role should be able to evaluate a customer's process to identify solutions and provide the necessary tools, information and support to obtain additional sales and identify new opportunities. This position reports to the Downstream Hardware FAS Leader located in Tokyo, Japan. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

Our main customers are companies involved in pharmaceutical manufacturing. We sell equipment such as purification devices for the production of biopharmaceuticals, including antibody drugs, vaccines, and cell therapies, which are specialties of Cytiva.

Responsible for contributing information to sales strategies and account plans, as part of the core account team.

  • Equipment proposals, custom design, and project management according to customer needs.
  • Primarily focus on Resin sales and achievement for sales target within their region and supports all Resins products that are sold both by providing the Account Manager in sales process with product expertise as well as independently identifying opportunities.
  • Develop the sales of modality solutions in the assigned sales region/territory, establishing long lasting technical customer relationships.
  • Strive to acquire knowledge about bioprocessing technologies other than Resins actively, and contribute to sales activities.
  • Provide high level technical expertise during pre-sales discussions, product demonstrations, customer training, post-sales support, seminars, tenders/quotes and promotional events.
  • Lead technical and process related discussions with customer Subject Matter Experts and give applicative support including trouble shooting and answer customer queries of sophisticated technical and applicative nature.
  • Continuously develop a network of key decision makers. Build a territory business plan and set quarterly priorities to achieve defined business goals. Contribute to key account plans managed by the Account Management team.
  • Develop sales opportunities to create a sales funnel to meet business targets. Manage leads and prospects using customer relationship management software.
  • Build a strong internal network to drive maximum synergy and customer satisfaction across the business. Work effectively with internal functions, including the account management team, other sales specialists, field application specialists, service engineering, product management, marketing, finance, legal, scientific support, service sales and customer support.
  • Understand the global sales policy for the product group you are responsible for (including new product launches), develop domestic sales strategy, and implement it to involve internal stakeholders.

  • 顧客の専門知識を持つ担当者との技術・プロセス関連の議論を主導し、トラブルシューティングを含むアプリケーションのサポート情報を提供するとともに、技術的かつ応用的な洞察をもって顧客の問い合わせに対応します。
  • 社内の関係者とのネットワークを継続的に構築する。担当テリトリーでの活動計画を策定し、予算目標達成のための月または四半期ベースの優先事項を設定します。アカウントマネージャーが管理するアカウントプランに貢献します。
  • ビジネス目標達成に向けた販売パイプライン構築のため、商機を開拓する。CRMソフトウェア(主にSalesforce)を活用し、リード案件および見込み顧客を管理します。
  • アカウントマネージャー、他のセールススペシャリスト、フィールドアプリケーションスペシャリスト、サービスエンジニア、マーケティング、プロダクトマネージャー、財務、法務、カスタマーサポートなど、国内外の各部門と効果的に連携することで、社内ネットワークを構築し、事業全体の相乗効果と、顧客満足度を最大化させます。
  • グローバルにおける担当製品群の販売方針(新製品ローンチを含む)を理解し、国内での販売戦略を立案し、社内関係者を巻き込んで実行します。

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, life sciences or relevant field.
  • 3 years commercial/applications experience, preferably in the Biotechnology industry.
  • Cross selling, upselling, value propositions and funnel management.
  • Downstream consumables, hardware and related product expertise.
  • Willing to understand customer’s business objectives.
