The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Supply Chain plays a critical role within the Information Technology and Analytics organization, serving as the key partner to Supply Chain and Operational Excellence leadership. This individual will transform complex data into actionable insights that enable strategic and operational decision-making.
They will leverage advanced Power BI development, strong data modeling, and deep supply chain domain expertise to design, build, and maintain analytics solutions that drive operational excellence across inventory management, procurement, logistics, and on-time delivery. In addition, this role will contribute to foundational data science initiatives—such as exploratory modeling and predictive analysis—to support the organization’s evolution toward advanced analytics.
This position requires both technical expertise and strong business acumen, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and translate business needs into scalable analytical solutions..
This position reports to the Senior Manager, BI and Analytics from Information Technology department with an indirect line to Vice President, Supply Chain and Operations Excellence located in India and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, and Operations Excellence leaders to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
- Develop end-to-end BI solutions — from data modeling and transformation to visualization and storytelling — using Power BI, SQL, and related tools.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports that monitor key metrics such as inventory health, supplier performance and on-time delivery
- Design and manage robust data models and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across multiple systems
- Lead root cause analysis and deliver actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and cost performance.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to define data requirements, standardize data sources, and maintain alignment with enterprise data architecture.
- Support and train business users on Power BI usage and promote data-driven culture within the supply chain organization.
- Maintain documentation, governance, and version control for all BI assets.
- Stay current on emerging BI and analytics trends to continuously improve visualization standards and reporting automation.
- Support exploratory data science initiatives by preparing analytical datasets, performing preliminary modeling in Python, and collaborating with data scientists on predictive use cases such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supplier risk scoring.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum 6–8 years of professional experience in business intelligence, supply chain analytics, or operations analytics, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of supply chain management principles — including demand planning, procurement, inventory optimization, production scheduling, and logistics.
- Expert in Power BI report development, DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Ability to interpret operational data and align insights with key performance drivers (e.g., OTD, MOQ, lead time, inventory turns).
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: N/A
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake, Synapse, Fabric) preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations highly preferred
- Strong proficiency in SQL, writing queries and optimizing data pipelines
- Basic experience with Python and introductory machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, clustering, anomaly detection) preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain ML use cases or integrating model outputs into BI dashboards is a plus
