Position Overview
The Vice President, Leadership Communications and Associate Engagement is a senior enterprise leader responsible for shaping and executing strategies that amplify leadership voice and foster a highly engaged associate community across Danaher. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team, owning CEO communications internally and externally, and driving enterprise-wide associate engagement programs that strengthen culture, alignment, and performance.
Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this leader will be a member of the Communications Leadership Team and will partner closely with corporate functions to deliver integrated communications that advance Danaher’s reputation and business objectives. The role is an on-site role based in Washington, D.C.
Key Responsibilities
CEO & Leadership Communications
- Serve as the primary architect and steward of CEO communications across internal and external platforms, including speeches, presentations, social media, and thought leadership.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive leadership visibility strategy that reinforces Danaher’s purpose, culture and growth narrative.
- Provide strategic counsel and content support for the CEO and senior executives for high-impact forums, media engagements, and associate interactions.
Enterprise Associate Engagement
- Design and lead an enterprise-wide associate engagement strategy that strengthens connection to Danaher’s mission, values and business priorities.
- Partner with HR and operating companies to activate engagement programs, including global town halls, leadership cascades and digital engagement initiatives.
- Establish measurement frameworks to track engagement impact and continuously improve programs.
Strategic Communications Support
- Provide strategic communications counsel and a level of execution support to corporate functions on enterprise initiatives.
- Ensure alignment and consistency of messaging across channels and audiences.
Culture & Change Leadership
- Champion communications that drive cultural alignment and adoption of enterprise priorities.
- Serve as a change leader for major organizational initiatives, ensuring clarity, transparency, and associate understanding.
Team Leadership
- Build and inspire a high-performing team of communications professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships to deliver best-in-class leadership and engagement programs.
Qualifications
- 20+ years of progressive experience including executive communications, employee engagement or corporate communications within a global, matrixed organization.
- Proven track record of developing and executing CEO and leadership communications strategies with measurable impact.
- Expertise in associate engagement and change communications, ideally in life sciences, healthcare or technology sectors.
- Exceptional executive presence, strategic thinking, and influencing skills with C-suite leaders.
- Data & Analytics proficiency, in service of impact metrics and strategy shaping.
- Strong track record of leading change and building high-performing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field; advanced degree preferred.

The annual salary range is $220,000 - $320,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
