The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing, modifying, and verifying Leica Microsystems software products. This role works independently and results-oriented, and often leads project teams to integrate new features and technologies into software platforms, providing technical guidance to team members.
This position reports to the Software Manager and is part of the Software Development team located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Execute software development and verification tasks, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with project requirements.
Collaborate with local, global, and cross-functional teams, including product management, to refine requirements and deliver complete workflows and components.
Optimise and enhance platform modules by implementing new features, redesigning, and refactoring code in line with architecture and UX/UI standards.
Provide technical support to internal teams (customer service, RA & QA, helpdesk) for issue reproduction and resolution, while maintaining accurate documentation.
Adhere to established development processes, contribute to continuous improvement using DBS tools, and ensure compliance with coding standards and testing practices.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in software development.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in C#, .NET framework, Windows Presentation Foundation, and mobile frameworks such as Flutter and Dart.
Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile practices (preferably Scrum) and software testing methodologies.
Soft Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in distributed teams and engage diverse stakeholders.
