The Senior Field Service Engineer for Leica Biosystems is responsible for visiting customers to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and upgrades to achieve optimum customer care and ensure a professional repair in due time with effective and efficient working practices in line with set KPI’s.
This position is part of the North Europe team located in Poland and will be fully remote and field based. We are working on the development of a new service organization in Poland. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Carry out on site installation of various Histopathology and ancillary equipment
- Contributing to the establishment of a new service organization in Poland
- Deliver accurate reporting, handling and timely submission of Salesforce reports, Expenses, Spares Stock management and other service documentation.
- Work closely with Field Support Team to ensure all customers are provided with an industry leading professional After Sales Service within the KPI’s set by Service Management.
- Co-operate closely with and support the sales team with tasks such as basic training for customers, installations, demonstrations and system builds.
- Exchange valuable information resulting from customer contacts to increase customer satisfaction and sales/service administration and communication, competent for our clients.
The essential requirements of the job include
- Experience in Field Service or a related field preferred, including Laboratory work.
- Educated in a Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical or Biomedical qualification subject. Preferably Bachelor’s degree/diploma level or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Fluency in Polish & English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Knowledge of network configuration and setup such as firewalls and TCP/IP networking components in a Windows environment is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literate with CRM tools such as SFDC/ Field Service.
- Ability to carry & move up to 25kg safely.
