The Analyst II, Materials / Planning role for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, procurement, and management of materials to support production and operational goals. This includes analyzing demand forecasts, maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, supporting production schedules, and driving process improvements across the supply chain. This position is part of the Materials and Planning Team located in Clare, Ireland and will be an on-site role. This role is a 12 month FTC.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Analyze demand forecasts and inventory levels to determine material requirements.
  • Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory to meet production needs.
  • Identify excess or obsolete inventory and recommend actions to reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.
  • Adjust plans based on changes in demand, supply disruptions, or production delays.
  • Use ERP systems and Excel to analyze supply chain data.
  • Prepare reports on material usage, supplier performance, and inventory metrics.
  • Identify inefficiencies in planning or procurement processes.
  • Support initiatives to improve lead times, reduce costs, and enhance supply reliability.
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, quality, and finance teams.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain or manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Inventory optimization and demand forecasting.
  • Supplier coordination and performance tracking.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with production, procurement, and logistics teams.
  • Data analysis and reporting using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
